Apple Is Considering Killing Off iTunes Music Downloads Entirely

With the emerging streaming music market, Apple is reportedly considering to kill of iTunes music downloads entirely. In one case, Apple would end song sales within two years, while the other case is less aggressive that would be to keep iTunes music downloads for another 3 to 4 years. Beatport Axes Streaming Service and More In Latest Plans

Following SFX Entertainment’s bankruptcy, many of you were questioning what exactly would happen to Beatport. In a statement released yesterday, Beatport said that they will be shutting down the streaming service and mobile app, along with Beatport News, the Events section and Video livestreaming platform as of May 13, 2016. YouTube Launches Streaming Service, “YouTube Red”

The music industry hasn’t seen much love (at least from a monetary perspective) since YouTube exploded in the past decade, but now it looks like the site is evolving quite rapidly this month into a whole new era with their streaming service “YouTube Red.” YouTube Red launched on October 28th and has free trial offers, with a $9.99/month charge for full access.
